High School athletics are a commitment. Here's what to expect:
💪 Weight Room workout opportunities with Coach Kelsey 3x/week
👟 Spring Practices - 3 weeks after school (M-F, 4-6:30pm) beginning June 1. Culminating with a jamboree at Ingraham High School on June 20th, 9am
☀️ Summer opportunities to develop skills (7-on-7 challenges), increase strength and endurance (weight room) and bond with teammates (camp, volunteer opportunities, hang-outs)
🍂 All fall sports begin August 19th. Expect daily practice, and even some two-a-day practices (one in the morning, lunch with your team, another in the afternoon).
🎒 Once school starts, practice is M-Th, 4 - 6:30pm. Varsity games are usually Friday nights.
🤝 You can also expect your student athlete to develop strong bonds and friendships with other football players across all grade levels. They'll have teammates in many of their classes, access to study groups, and friends all over NHS.

Newport High School provides uniforms, shoulder pads, and helmets (including protective Guardian Caps).

- 5-pad girdle (available at sporting goods stores)
- Football cleats (red, white or black only)
- Required Practice Attire (Polo shirt, shorts, socks) - purchased through Newport Football
💵 program fees
Program fees are determined by the Bellevue School District, and will need to be paid before the first game.
Last year's fees totaled about $485 per player, so plan to budget between $485-$550 (just an estimate). If your family qualifies for free/reduced lunch through the BSD, your student athlete is eligible for discounted rates.

The Newport Touchdown Club is a separate and independent 5013c organization operating under the umbrella of the Knight Athletic Booster Association (KABA), whose mission is to support the Newport High School Football program in Bellevue, WA.
