Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all time thing. You don't win once in a while, you don't do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.
-Vince Lombardi-

THE TOUCHDOWN CLUB took care of us again looking like we belonged in a territory that was not ours.
The Knight Market is ours and we own it, where ever we are, we will own that as our own...we will only expand and make it even bigger and better. Tonight I asked myself did I do everything I could to make tonight the best I could with what I had to work with. Look I am a stuffed bear, I have sticks in places propping me up on a stool, I was affectionately wrapped in glowing LED lighted gear so I could put smiles on people's faces, What humiliated? Maybe a lil' but I know I did my job-  I absolutely did, my very first group of posing cuddlers was the entire cheer team from Liberty...for a moment I thought I scored the winning touchdown, everyone was so happy to see me, to click pics with me, can you imagine any other place where the entire cheer squad from another team stops to get a picture with a mascot or anyone dressed in home team gear... this only happens at a Home away from Home game. Look I did my job, Joel my boss from the Touchdown Club said, sit on the stool, let anyone, I mean anyone have a picture with you. Well you know it took some discipline, but I liked it and its my job to be a mascot for the Touchdown Club, so it's not hard to do, but it's tiring being messed with all night and you know I do what I am told and we have fun, the point is everyone has fun. I saw our President Joel and Vice President Julia tossing free glowing necklaces and beads to the student body. I know we fed our friends at Cheer, and we fed all the players after the game, so we did our job...the common thread here is we have fun, we have made friendships within our club that will last a lifetime, it won't stop after the next 4 years of high school, we did our job. Our reach is strong because we have stepped up to the challenge to make our games feel great and we make home be home no matter where it is. So I ask you what's missing here.  I know it's not: Cheer, they work so hard and smile and cheer our team on keeping us happy when times are tough and it's always onward with spirit intact they did their job. Marching band, brought their first fully choreographed show with all the musical talent, excitement and regalia, they did their job. The Student body was bigger than ever and the parents showed up in force. They did their job. I want to know if anyone else knows what's missing...why do I feel so glum and heartbroken. I ask the question, did we all do our job?

Joel as you know sometimes after the game I lay down in the bed of the truck and I put my tired paws up and have a rest, and you know- air out.

Joel what were you thinking not checking the bed of the truck before visiting my friend Brown Bear...did you forget about me again? It felt like a hurricane of a speed wash, I was all soapy, suds in my eyes and my fur is all curly, all I can say is I am so glad you did not add the wax.
I have to say it was exhilarating and now I feel fresh...I am gonna be sore tomorrow. But again, I did my Job!

Forgive me for this plug.

Make it a habit, wash your car or a friends car! If you have not got your Brown Bear Car Wash Tickets they are going fast, you will not be disappointed.

Some call him Ted some call him Teddy.
With the Knights in mind he stands at the ready. He raises the spirit and comforts his brothers. A brother to some, but much more to others. His words that are written here are for all to share,  a recap of our games for those not there.
